We are seeking an energetic, dynamic, and experienced Operations Manager who also has no problem getting their hands dirty.We are an equipment rental company that requires a self-motivated leader to join our team and control our operations. This is a position that requires the ability to manage many different roles with lots of competing demands, meaning the candidate must be well organized, detailed and have the ability to multi-task.



Education/Formal Training

  • 5 years experience in management of small business and equipment rentals
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Completion of University/College level program
  • Experience in construction, landscape or other contract service provider that targets home renovations is preferred
  • Mechanically inclined including performing household repairs
  • Class G or AR Licence (required)
  • Background check, bondable
  • Knowledge of local area required

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Exposure to loud noise, dust, gas or fumes
  • Work indoors but also outside in unprotected weather elements
  • Frequent lifting up to 25lbs with occasional lifting up to 75lbs
  • Ability to bend, kneel and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day
  • Activities require handling and grasping with the hands when performing maintenance of equipment

Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and direct all daily store operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service and profitability
  • Develop plans to improve store performance using a hands-on lead-by-example approach
  • Answer incoming phone calls, greet customers, and handle customer inquiries or complaints
  • Perform Account Receivable tasks including application process, reference checking, recommend for/against approvals, invoice requests, collections and account status
  • Business promotion including loyalty programs, increasing account usage, rentals, sales, recognizing business opportunities; apply current marketing techniques to increase business
  • Strong sales and customer service experience required, outside sales experience preferred
  • Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry
  • Conduct daily maintenance and housekeeping of the facility
  • Adhere and assure to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain quality control standards and company image
  • Maintain safety requirements for store and yard
  • Perform light service of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Assume and/or assist any/all other employee responsibilities when needed
